An eight-year South Orange resident and homeowner, Michael Goldberg is a pro-active community leader. He was a co-founder and treasurer of the Coalition to Preserve South Orange, which dramatically reduced the quarry development's housing density, while safeguarding open space. In addition, he recently led the successful "No Taxes for Tau" awareness campaign, saving taxpayers at least $80,000.

 

Mr. Goldberg was also co-founder and Treasurer of Villagers for a Better South Orange which was successful in helping the Village stop a significant tax hike on the November 2006 ballot. During that same election, Mr. Goldberg was also elected to serve on the Municipal Consolidation Commission to explore ways of reducing taxes through consolidation and/or shared services with Maplewood.

 

Mr. Goldberg has more than 17 years of professional experience, currently as a Strategic Account Manager for a global software and consulting firm specializing in improving Customer Satisfaction for Fortune 1000 companies. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, an M.B.A. in Information Systems from New York University and a Project Management Professional certification.
